Kukmum or Saffron is an aromatic spice procured from the flower of Crocus sativus, commonly known as Saffron crocus. It has long been the worlds costliest spice by weight.
Kumkumadi tailam having Kumkum as its prime ingredient is an integral part of the Ayurvedic skin regimen. Kumkumadi thailam bestows the user with radiant skin, healthy from within. Ayurvedic scriptures advocate the use of this traditional formula as Nasya (nasal intillation) and for Mukha abhyanga (facial massage).
Features & Benefits
- Golden tinted oil that is rich and nourishing, aromatic and calming to the senses, Kumkumadi tailam is the perfect choice for facial massage. Regular massage improves blood circulation in the face and encourages deep absorption of its healing properties.
- Skin ravaged by Vata manifests as dry, cracked sallow skin with no resistance to infection and disease. Pitta aggravation results in acne-prone, sweaty, ruddy skin easily affected by climatic changes, prone to inflammation and breaking out in pustules and blisters. Kumkumadi tailam pacifies Vata-Pitta doshas in the skin, and restores health and vitality to the skin.
- It bestows the user with clear and glowing skin, resistant to infection and disease.
- It is an excellent remedy for age spots, scars, wrinkles, skin tags and pigmentation.
- Applied as Nasya (nasal instillation), it reaches deep into the Uthamanga (head and neck), and balances the doshas. Kumkumadi tailam brings about clarity of senses, and strengthens the sense organs. It also slows down greying of hair, hairfall and breakage.
