Jatamansi(Nardostachys Jatamansi)
Commonly known as Spikenard, it acts as a brain tonic and helps to improve memory and brain functions by preventing cell damage due to its antioxidant property. Its oil has been used as perfume. Roots of the plant are medically used to treat insomnia and blood, circulatory, and mental disorders.
Vayambu (Acorus calamus)
Commonly known as Sweet Flag, the powder is rubbed with honey on the tongue of babies. It is effective for digestive ailments such as flatulence, loss of appetite, abdominal dull pain, and worms. The powder of sweet flag given with lukewarm saltwater induces vomiting and relieves phlegm while easing coughs and asthma.
Haridra (Curcuma longa)
Commonly known as Turmeric and easily found in the kitchen, it possess anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-oxidant properties. Draksha (Vitis vinifera)

Sarkara (Saccharum officinarum)
Commonly known as the sugarcane, its roots are used for therapeutic purposes. Having properties aphrodisiac (arouse sexual desires), laxative, cooling, demulcent, antiseptic, and tonic. Sugarcane juice is very useful in jaundice conditions.
Ela (Elettaria cardamomum)
